Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming apps currently available online. It has many users worldwide, and that fan base increased as the application spread onto mobile devices. It was only this month, though, that Spotify finally launched a big-screen version of its app on, you guessed it, the iPad. It isn’t the first music streaming app to land on Apple’s flagship device – it was beaten to the punch by other popular apps including Rhapsody, Pandora, Slacker, and iHeart Radio among-st others. However, both existing and new users of Spotify will find some exciting extra features in Spotify’s iPad app that really makes it stand out from the crowd.
On the iPad which can be found at Vodafone stores, the spotify premium apk is able to utilize large, HD images, with menus and playlists of tracks that can be scanned with a swipe of the screen. Users are also able to move from one song to another by swiping through displays of cover art, a feature similar to Apple’s in built music system on the iPhone and iPod Touch. It also makes it nice and easy for users to explore their favorite artists – when a particular artist is selected, a panel will appear on the right hand side of the screen displaying the first few lines of the artist’s biography, as well as a few of their top hits and any artists to whom they may be linked. If you then select a related artist the first panel will switch to the left hand side whilst a new panel appears on the right tell you information about the new artist.
However, along with new features, Spotify also knows to stick with what works. The popular and useful “What’s New” tab allows users to check out brand new music, playlists currently trending, what their friends are listening to and much, much more. You can, of course, also search for particular tracks or artists using the “Search” tab. Results will begin to appear from the very first letter, with images to help you distinguish between similar results.
