Are you somebody who always feels lazy to charge the phone? Or you wish that your phone had lifelong charged battery? Well researchers from Fraunhofer Institute are working on a method which might help your wishes come true. They are trying to turn body heat into electricity. Presently the TEG technology requires temperature differentials of many degrees. The researchers are experimenting with new processes which could reduce the temperature difference needed to just a few degrees, the difference between room temperature and the human body for example. If they are successful in reducing the voltage which could lead to personal electronics which can be powered by body heat alone.

The institute is also interested in medical applications of the technology.
