Dreamfit Perfect bike for Paraplegics

motorcycle_for_paraplegics.jpg Have you got a physical disability or do you know someone else who does? Are there any recreational activities you thought would never be possible? West Australian company Dreamfit and its founder Darren Lomman have composed an innovatively bold project: a motorcycle for paraplegic riders. and their modified bike- Honda CBR250RR. The Dreamfit bike is not too far away from production potential.

The Dreamfit CBR250RR has been modified to suit riders paralysed from chest downwards with pneumatic rams thumb operated for foot- free gear shifting, a right hand braking lever system, ergonomic cups individually moulded for each rider so as to hold the rider in place without any lower body strength, and a pair of steel- braced stabilising wheels that descend to take the bike's weight at very low speeds.
