GPS Bracelet device for Alzheimer Patients

gps_bracelet.jpg It's bad enough that lack of memory bogs an Alzheimer Patient, but keeping track of them can takes its toll on the minders. Spanish company Keruve has come out with a GPS device, which can be worn like a bracelet, to keep a tab on Alzheimer's patients. The system is made up of a special bracelet and a PSP like handheld device that indicates the location of the person wearing the bracelet. The bracelet is water resistant and can only be taken off using a special tool. The bracelet GPS receiver works with GSM1800 and GSM900 networks to broadcast its location to the base unit. The system has a battery life of 3.5 days and should the levels reach low, an alarm sounds off.

The GPS Bracelet device for Alzheimer Patients is available in Europe and sells for €850 or $1.345.
