Bioident Technology Inc a Californian based company has created the world’s first disposable photonic lab-on-a-chip solution for chemical and biological agent detection, next-generation water and food analysis, and point-of-care diagnostics. The invention of this lab on chip will help to get rid of complex and expensive readout systems. Moreover it offers greater mobility and sensitivity compared to existing biological and chemical assays and delivers a cost-effective disposable lab-on-a-chip solution. Discarding the need for off-site lab analysis, PhotonicLab Platform promises speedy in-vitro diagnostics, chemical and biological threat detection.

The break through of lab on chip has helped Bioident become a co winner at the seventh annual Wall Street Journal contest for Technology Innovation.
