MIT’s AudiOdyssey for visually impaired

AudiOdyssey.jpg This is good news for visually impaired gamers. Some researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have come out with AudiOdyssey, a game for Wii enthusiasts who have visual difficulties while playing. The research was carried out in the Gambit Game Lab in Singapore. The game is based on the ability of the players to use the Wii's motion-sensitive controllers to create music structures. The players have to mimic a DJ and create music that can make other want to shake a leg. The game can open the eyes of the visually impaired to the missed out joys of using the Wii.

The AudiOdyssey is based more on hearing rather than on visual dependence. This makes it a perfect entertainment module for anyone. It is made to be compatible to any keyboard.
