HD technology isn't only limited to entertainment reasons as even the medical field is benefited by such high definition displays. The world's first High Definition wireless surgical display created for the operation rooms in hospitals is unveiled by AMIMON. Recognized for providing Best-in-Class high-definition visualization, Stryker Endoscopy's WiSe HDTV model, uses the AMIMON's wireless HD technology, which features uncompressed wireless transmission, video data rates of up to 3Gbps, and all within the 100-feet range. This technology works through walls and the latency is less than 1 ms.
Such display is capable of transmitting the surgical video with no perceptible lag or interference throughout the entire operating room. This will allow surgeons greater flexibility in positioning the surgical display while operating. In addition, the hospitals and surgery centers will save the hassle and cost of routing DVI cables through the ceilings and overhead booms.
