Babies legs may get scared by tight socks

socks.jpgNo doubt infants look complete with their tiny socks tucked up for occasions, these socks may give finishing touch to their outfits, but experts have recognized a new condition on infants legs which can be caused by tight elastic bands. The colour eventually fades but raised lines may remain, making the legs look unattractive. These lesions however appear to be harmless. Because the condition has only recently been identified, it as yet unclear whether scarring will be permanent.

An 11-month-girl was one of the cases evaluated, having developed the marks at just one week of age after wearing a pair of tight socks.
