Nintendo Wii doesn’t seem to be limited to entertain the gamers only. It has spread its addiction to the stroke victims also. A local rehab institution in Minneapolis is currently using the Wii to recover stroke victims with some degree of success. According to one of the stroke victim Wii is extremely motivational and gives you the illusion that you're progressing even if you're not, putting you in a better frame of mind. He has used it to improve movement in his hand and feet, which proves regenerative powers of Wii's.

Occupational therapist working with the rehab centre said Nintendo Wii system is a way to practice re-learning movements we used to know how to do and we know the brain can make changes if we can give it lots and lots of practice.
