Indian girl with eight limbs to undergo surgery

Twin_Girl_with_Eight_Limbs.jpg Lakshmi Tatma is a two-year-old girl born to a poor rural family in India is born with four arms and four legs is to undergo a 40-hour operation as doctors try to give her a chance at a normal life. It will require the newest techniques in medical science to detach Lakshmi from her "parasitical", headless, undeveloped "twin", which is joined to her body at the pelvis.

Lakshmi's parents were informed that their daughter was unlikely to survive beyond early adolescence.
