The little girl who can never be hugged

The instant feeling of a parent on looking their infant is to pick him up and cuddle and hug him. But baby Sarah Morrison are deprived of all these pleasures as their baby is so delicate she can break a bone just by sneezing and can never be hugged by her parents. These determined parents were advised to have an abortion but they went ahead with their decision to give Sarah a chance at life and moved from Ireland to Sheffield to seek a bone specialist. Before she was born, Sarah suffered 30 rib fractures and doctors said she would live just two days. But the child, who has brittle-bone disease, will challenge expectations when she celebrates her first birthday next month.

Sarah's mother, Sonia McCrossan, was told her baby had the one-in-a-million disorder osteogenesis imperfecta while she was pregnant. Her first baby, Leah, suffered from the same condition and died when she was two weeks old.
